The best skaters from around the world will gather on a winding track on the banks of the Moscow River. The names of two athletes who will represent our country are exactly known - these are St. Petersburg Andrei Lavrov and Novosibirsk-based Hariton Vlasov.
Speed skating is a kind of hybrid of speed skating, cross-country skiing and bendy. Athletes in full hockey ammunition start in groups of four and make a descent along an ice gutter full of obstacles - ski jumps, sharp turns, rhythm sections. The first to reach the end of the track won.
